The 2nd Project Meeting of the European project “INCUBA – Cross Border agrifood incubators” took place on Tuesday, 08 October 2019, in the city of Pyrgos, Greece. The meeting was held in the Council Room of the Ilia Chamber and was attended by  members of the partnership.

The meeting revolved around the evaluation of the project-progress so far, the reviewing of the confirmed timetable for the implementation of the planned actions towards the accomplishment of the projects’ goals, as well as the adaptation of relevant best practices, regarding the creation of a new model of agri-food incubators.

The meeting proceedings were officially initiated by the well-come speech of the President of Ilia Chamber, Mr. Konstantinos Nikoloutsos, who, on the margins of the meeting, showed both representatives of the partnership and of local press, around the new pre-seed facility, located on the ground floor of the Ilia Chamber, which has been properly configured and equipped, in the framework of the incubator’s operation.

The goal of the Incuba – project is to support incubators with a focus on the assistance of agri-food businesses, so that they can familiarize themselves with innovative products and services and integrate new knowledge and technologies, which will contribute to the development of new and improved products and services with high added value, boosting this way their competitiveness and helping them penetrate new markets. The foundation of an effective partnership and interconnection of the research system, Universities, innovation centers, research centers, regions and Chambers, with the productive sectors and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will help to bring the goals and objectives of the Incuba project to fruition.
