What is Black Garden Soil?
With the addition of our Black Garden Soil, your dirt becomes what nature intended, a healthy, vibrant soil that holds the right amount of water and nutrients for balanced soil structure and a great root system. An All Natural blend of composted mulch, manure, and soil, designed specifically for Southwestern Soils. Black Garden Soil works best when it is incorporated into the top few inches of your existing soil to enrich and improve it.
A blend of fully composted manure and composted wood mulch, designed to improve soil health, water holding ability, and ingredients to promote healthy microbial activity for plant growth.

Choose which seed will work for your project: Premium Seed Mix - 3 lbs. Kentucky Bluegrass or Turf Type Tall Fescue Seed. Kentucky Bluegrass is dark green, uniform, and recovers quickly; Tall Fescue is deep-rooted, drought and shade tolerant.
Soil Calculation and Tables
To use the chart, determine the square footage of your area and look for that number to the left side of the chart. Then determine the depth of the soil you feel is needed and find that number along the top of the chart. Where the two boxes intersect will be the approximate cubic yards of soil needed. Remember, when using the chart for soil calculations, add 20% to the yardage recommended to account for compaction.

Delivery and Access
“X” Marks the Spot for Delivery: You don’t even need to be home! Simply mark an “X” on or directly off your driveway with chalk, duct tape, or another visible material where you would like your BigYellowBag placed. Please ensure the delivery area is at least 4′ x 4′ (about the size of a parking space), free of overhead obstructions, and accessible to our forklift. For safe reach, the forklift requires a clear access path approximately 10’ x 10’, free of vehicles, low-hanging branches, wires, or other obstacles.
Our driver will position the bag on your driveway or directly off the driveway whenever site conditions safely allow. No lugging, no mess, no mad rush to use it up before rain.

Pick Up Details: Each BigYellowBag weighs 1,500 to 1,700 lbs., depending on moisture content. A medium to large pickup truck holds 1 BigYellowBag. A trailer may hold more than 1, depending on the size.
